The Governor of Zamfara State, Bello Mohammed Matawalle has approved the immediate suspension of the emir of Dansadau, Alhaji Hussaini Umar and the District Head of Nasarawa Mailayi, Alhaji Bello Wakkala.

No reason was given for the suspension of the traditional leaders but Rural Post reports that Dansadau is one of the LGAs in the state battling with banditry and other security challenges.

The suspension was confirmed in a statement signed by the Special Adviser Public Enlightenment, Media and Communications to the Governor, Zailani Bappa.

He said following the suspension of the emir, the governor had approved the district head of Dansadau, Alhaji Nasiru Muhammad S/Kudu to oversee the affairs of the emirate.
