Kaduna Polytechnic students, staff regain freedom


Students, staff of the state polytechnic, Nuhu Bamali have regained freedom weeks after their abduction.

Six of the students, two staff of the institution were released by their abductors on Thursday night at an undisclosed location in the state.

The Public Relations Officer of the institution, Abdullahi Shehu said the victims were released after series of negotiations between the parents of the abductees and their abductors.

However, he could not confirm categorically if the ransom was paid or not.

He explained that the school Management will receive the abductees today, at a location where they were kept after their release by the bandits.

Recall that bandits attacked the school on June 11, whisked away scores of students in their hostel, and staff at their quarters to unknown destinations.
