Bandits abduct pregnant woman, 10 others in Zamfara

Armed bandits have abducted a woman who is eight months pregnant and 10 others at Dansadau village of Zamfara State, Rural Post reports.

It was gathered that the pregnant woman was abducted alongside her three children when the bandits attacked her village.

The Incident occurred last week Friday when the bandits stormed the town and abducted the victims.

Her husband Suleiman told Rural Post in a telephone interview that the bandits had called to demand for N500 million ransom for all the victims.

“At first, they demanded N800 million but later reduced the money to N500 million,” he said.

He explained that most of the victims were women and children below the age of five years.

Dansadau community has suffered consistent security challenges as bandits continue to attack communities at will, kill and abducted residents.
