Just in: Gunmen attack Kogi prison, free inmates, kill two Soldiers

The Assistant Inspector General of Police in charge of zone 8, Lokoja, Ayuba Ede has confirmed the killing of two soldiers on road block before Kabba Correctional Centre, Kogi State.

Rural Post also learned Over 100 inmates were said to have escaped during the attack on the Kogi prison.

Following the latest development, Edeh said the State Commissioner of Police and other heads of security agencies have swung into action to do an assessment of the cause of the prison break.
