10 Students of Bethel Baptist School have been released by their captive 75 days after abduction.

It could be recalled that armed bandits stormed the school located along Kaduna-Kacia highway in July 2021 and abducted over a hundred students.

The bandits released some of the students in batches but the school authority declined comment on whether ransom was paid to the bandits or not.

The State Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Reverend Joseph Hayab who confirmed the release of the 10 students said they were reunited with their family parents immediately by the school authority.

“They were released on Saturday evening and the parents have taken their children home. What the bandits are doing is to torture us,” he said.

He added that 21 students are still in captivity.
